MIXO to Serato

Move your music from MIXO to Serato using MIXO:BRIDGE.

Exporting music is a MIXO:GOLD feature. If you're not already a GOLD user, you'll automatically start a free 7 day GOLD trial.

We recommend you backup your library first as per our terms.

Exporting Collections & Playlists to Serato:

1. Quit Serato and go to Export -> Serato.

It's important to quit Serato to prevent Serato from overwriting the tracks.

2. Select the playlists.

Click the check box next to the playlists you wish to export to Serato (as crates).

3. (Optional) Turn on 'Update ID3 tags'

Serato reads the metadata and cues directly from the track ID3 tags. To export customised metadata and cues imported from other software to Serato, expand the 'Advanced export options' and turn on 'Update ID3 tags' (which will overwrite track metadata & cues).

Currently supported file types are: MP3, WAV, AIFF, OGG, AAC, FLAC

Please backup your library before using this feature, as per our terms.

4. Click 'Export Serato'

MIXO will now build the crate files and update each track's ID3 tag if necessary.

Please note: your tracks must be stored on the same drive you export your crate to, otherwise Serato cannot read the files.

For example, if they are on an external USB or hard drive, the crate or crates need to be saved to *drivename*/_Serato_/Subcrates. You can select this by clicking on the CHANGE FILE button and selecting the relevant Subcrates folder. If this doesn't work initially, try first exporting them to the local Subcrates folder found in ~/Music/_Serato_. Serato then may create the required crate on your external drive automatically.

5. Open Serato and analyse your tracks

If you've made changes to existing tracks, such as metadata and cues, you'll need to reanalyse the tracks in Serato to see the changes.
