Please add this feature, I would love to export my VDJ to Serato, I've been using VDJ for years but I have found that Serato is far more stable for what I do.

The only plausible way I can use this incredible application in the future is if it integrates with Serato. I won't be fully able to replace iTunes until this is solved.

Hi Dave,

What does your current workflow look like with Serato and iTunes?

Hi Jon,

I could have sworn I replied to this. If not, I apologize. My current workflow for DJing with iTunes and Serato is very simple. I import all of my songs and manage my playlists through iTunes/Music. Then I simply open Serato and under the Itunes tab in the music browser my playlists and music show up. A drop down for Mixo would be a must for me fully transition to using Mixo for DJing. Is a partnership with Serato in the cards down the road?

Hi Dave,

No problem at all!

That would be ideal for sure, and we're certainly aiming as high as we can in terms of integration with as many DJ Software as possible.

You can export your playlists from MIXO and import them into iTunes and therefore see them within Serato - not perfect, but it would allow you to use MIXO's cloud and mobile features and Serato.

Extra steps are what we are trying to remove and avoid, so hopefully it won't be too long until we have a smoother solution to this.

Thanks,

Jon

Please Please put export to Serato at the top of your list of things to do. I love this platform you guys came up with, but not being able to go between my Rekordbox and Serato is going to kill me. I'm ready to do the paid subscription, but not without that feature. I'm sure i'm not the only one. You guys really are on to something here and are in a position to be the people who are the next big change to the industry. If you don't support an export to the biggest name in the game for DJ programs, that may come back to bite you. That's literally the only thing stopping me from doing the paid subscription. I'm sure i'm not the only one.

I really hope this feature gets added soon. I wish there was an easy way to get my rekordbox 6 collection imported with cues into serato, including my RB playlists from streaming services like Tidal. You would think by the year 2022 this would be a common piece of software. Yet still we only have 3 options out there of which none are very practical and involve a lot of hoops to go through..

I am intrigued now, but from my understanding it still sounds like a manual process. Say I have a gig, do I need to export to serato crates every time? Make it automatic! Also, what do you mean the cue points wont save? If I add a cue in mixo, export to serato, it wont show up?

Hey Dave!

To go to your second point first, currently no. Cues added in MIXO won't be added to the track when exported. We are working this though! We have tried to avoid editing track metadata directly on the file itself, especially by default, which is why we want this to be an optional export that includes this which will be a toggle in settings for those that want to modify data within MIXO and move it to Serato.

For your first point, you can setup automatic exports for your crates by going to SETTINGS > EXPORT > SERATO. Just make sure you set the 'Subcrates' export folder to be on the same drive as your music.

Give it a try and please let me know if you encounter any issues at all.
