iOS App Player is Unusable

The iOS app player is completely unusable for me. I want to be able to listen to all of my synced music on shuffle. I am observing the following issues:

1. I have to click on a song multiple times before it loads

2. Once a song loads, the song that is actually playing is different from the song that was selected AND different from the song that is showing to be playing.

3. The queue only shows 3 songs max.

I am attaching a video highlighting these issues. I have reset the player queue on the debug setting multiple times as well.

The reason you are only seeing 3 tracks in the queue is because when playing from All Tracks, MIXO only adds the current track and 1 track either side of it to the queue. This prevent overloading your phone when trying to add all your 9k+ tracks to the queue. If you continue skipping through the list MIXO keeps adding 1 track each time. If you tap a track in the list it will rebuild the queue adding only 3 again from that point.

The delay in playing tracks is related to streaming from cloud storage which is not optimised like Spotify, for example. So often what happens is a track starts buffering before it plays and MIXO prevents skipping until the first chunk of audio is downloaded. I’m actually looking at this part today after another user suggested allowing skipping during buffering of the current track.

However, this could cause rate limit issues with cloud storage providers so it needs to be tested carefully.

For best results, download playlists for instant playback. MIXO also adds the entire playlist to the queue which will make things easier for you.
