Using OneDrive as the track location/file path instead of USB stick

Hello there,

I have a question regarding OneDrive and general track locations.
So I've imported my tracklist into MIXO from an EngineDJ USB stick and activated OneDrive Sync. Everything has been synced, I can see the tracks in OneDrive as well.
But unfortunately all Playlist still rely on the tracks to be on that USB stick, because that is the filepath to them. So when I remove the stick, I cannot play any tracks in MIXO etc. (this is than also true when I exort to rekordbox etc, the USB stick needs to be plugged in)

How can I change, that MIXO will use OneDrive as a primary location for the tracks?
Is that somehow possible?

Thanks and best regards

No that's not possible because MIXO knowns it's your primary device so always looks for the local track.

MIXO's cloud sync feature allows you to stream/download tracks on other devices, as opposed to streaming on your primary device where you imported your music.

Thanks for the reply.
But what would e.g. happen if I install MIXO on a different PC and login there. Would MIXO than download all the tracks to the new device and make OneDrive the default there? And could I then use that device/PC to sync to other programs like Rekordbox etc. Because right now when I export to rekordbox, this library also depends on my USB stick being plugged in.

One of the reasons why I bought MIXO was to have an USB stick independant, multi-device library I can use. Right now, if I loose that stick i am as f*cked as I would be withouth MIXO. And I dont want to do just manual backups of that USB stick.

Makes sense, always good to have a cloud backup.

So yes you are right, after login on another device, MIXO will sync and you can stream your tracks from OneDrive. However, other DJ apps can’t stream your tracks from OneDrive so you’ll need to download them first.

You can download everything from Settings/Cloud or individual playlists if you right-click and turn on the Download toggle.

I highly recommend you have a read through this useful page:
