Questions before buying
Good afternoon!
Before I buy the MIXO, I'd like to ask you a few questions.
I use Serato and I want to switch to Rekordbox.
1- My Serato library is entirely based on Smart Crates. Do these Smart Crates transfer to Rekordbox or not? Do they have any limitations?
2- Do Hotcues with a description transfer? Or without a description?
3- Do the "prepared loops" transfer?
4- Do tags and comments with special characters such as “ç, &, _” transfer or is there a problem?
5- Do Beatgrids stay exactly the same?
6- When you do this data transfer, are all the songs written again and do they no longer have the information I said in Serato? (in case I want to use Serato again)
In your opinion, what is the biggest limitation that can be a gamechanger?
I'm a full-time DJ and I don't want to make a purchase without first knowing if the application meets my needs.
Thanks and have a good week!
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out!
In the first instance I would use the trial to test importing and exporting a single playlist.
Everything you have asked should work but yes there are some limitations.
Smart crates are imported as standard playlists.
Some older M4A files can appear to have beatgrid and cues shifted slightly.
These are the only two things to consider, otherwise please give it a go with a few playlists (1 at a time during trial).

Let me know how it goes!
