How do I sync Mixo back to Rekordbox?

Hi,

I imported my Library into Mixo.
How I can I replace th RB library with the edits I made (cleaned it up)?

The reason is: I want to import 2.500 files into Rekordbox, but I expect to have many duplicates after this.
So I thought I import the stuff into RB, import this into Mixo, run the duplicate file search and clean up as best as possible, export the changes into RB back and got rid of the dupplicates.

Btw, It would be awesome to be able to check for duplicates gainst an external folder with mp3 files, without the need to import them first. So I can just import only the cleaned up files.

Thanks
Susi

Hi Susi,

I think the best way is as per the guide so you can view the playlists and tracks in the rekordbox.xml pane and then drag them into your main library if you're happy.

https://support.mixo.dj/guide/mixo-to-rekordbox

I'm not sure if you can just drag over a playlist or if you need to delete the existing one first?

As for the duplicate checker on a system folder... that's a great idea, thanks! We'll look into that.

It less an issue of the playlist, as mote to delete the duplicates in RB.
When i just reimport the xml.... the duplicates in RB are not becoming deleted.
TBH Duplicate management and removal is my biggest challenge and the reason why I use Mixo.
So I wonder If I had to delete my library in RB and import if from the rekordbox.xml again
Which feels a bit scary

Super scary!! But you should backup your library first by exporting your collection as XML from Rekordbox itself and save it somewhere safe.

Then delete and import from MIXO.

In theory that's the way to do it!

Scary...
I guess I will backup the full RB database app folder. LOL safer then just the xml file.

I will try later and report back.
Can I import the track directly to Mixo, check for dups and then export with xml to rekordbox?

Good idea, definitely do both for safety.

Good luck!
