Playlist folder structure is not parsed correctly when importing my traktor 3.5.2 library

Solved

Hello,

I've downloaded MIXO yesterday, as I want to be able to export Traktor playlists to Rekordbox. However I noticed that the playlist folder structure is not maintained in MIXO, only the first entry under the parent gets parsed correctly, and the rest is put under the root playlist directory.

I've attached my collection file (Traktor 3.5.2) and am using MIXO 1.22

Hello Remko,

Thanks for the update. The problem is however, not resolved yet. In the Traktor import screen it still lists mosts playlists as if they're not inside a playlist folder.

For example, all the 2014 playlists should reside in the folder in the second picture, while only one of them resides there right now. The other playlist are erroneously listed at the root level. It's still behaving exactly the same as it did in the previous version.

Perhaps you could look into this matter once more?

Oh, you're totally right. Somehow the changes were not released in 1.23!

Really sorry about that, I'll get a new release live asap.

Traktor 3.9 and Mixo 1.25

In Mixo

Folders are not imported

Playlists are devoid of songs

In Traktor

Wave Forms are not updated from Mixed when imported.

Hi there, we're not seeing any issues.

Could you possible send me your NML so I can try to replicate?

Please also send me some screenshots of how your structure looks in Traktor so I know what it should look like.

In the meantime, you could also try manually exporting your collection to NML from Traktor and import that. Perhaps the automatically generated file is wrong?

Let me know how it goes.

Im trying Mixo 1.28 and Traktor 3.9 and the folder structure imported to Mixo is a mess. Any ideas? Most aren't nested under the subfolders they are in in Traktor. Should just be seeing a few top level folders, yet MIXO displays heaps of the nested folders at the top level.

Hi Jeremy,

As far as I can see everything was resolved in v1.25 and nothing has changed since.

I've double checked again today and can't find any problems.

If possible, please email me your NML to team@mixo.dj so I can try to replicate, and ideally also attach a screenshot of what it looks like in Traktor so I know what I'm looking out for!

Thanks in advance,

Remko

Hi Remko,

After many setups and import tests, I've figured out it's the handling of smart playlists. As soon as one is included, the other playlists in the folder structure are dumped at the top level in MIXO.

Attaching Traktor sample setup that fails and showing MIXO import structure that's incorrect.

My understanding from the forums is that you are skipping smart playlists import at the moment, but the overall structure should remain.

Hope that helps you resolve the issue.

Thanks Jeremy, that's really useful. I've managed to replicate and fix the issue ready for the next release.

In the meantime, here's how you can import Traktor Smartists as standard playlists:

I'll let you know when it goes live.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks, look forward to the next release, as I can't remove all my smartlists and most of the structure is a mess in MIXO as is.

Have you checked if there are any specific settings or options within Mixo for handling playlist folder structure during import? Sometimes, there are preferences that control how playlists are organized. Tel U
