Trouble uploading audio files

Hi there, I just setup my library with Mixo and have linked it to google drive, it seems to be having a hard time uploading files to the drive. It just keep saying syncing. and then it starts over again, etc, I have tried resetting Mixo, deleting the files in google drive, and nothing seems to work. it is like it is almost skipping over that step. It should take forever to upload all those files, and it was done pretty quickly. When checking the drive, there are files in the google drive. any advice?

Hi John,


Firstly, you don't need to delete any tracks that uploaded successfully because MIXO will check and reuse the tracks during upload to avoid duplication. It makes it much faster after doing Reset MIXO and re-importing.


As for the syncing issue, it's possible there was a problem at the time with the cloud database. I can't see any issues now so it's worth trying again.


Out of curiosity, how many tracks were you importing/syncing?

Another idea is to Reset Local, logout and login.


Then try again!

I erased everything and tried again. It has been uploading all-night and still going so that’s a good sign. It seemed that I had to import my whole library first, ignoring the connect cloud button on the import window. Then connect it, and it seemed to force the upload. The other times as I was imported from RB, I clicked that connect cloud button and it did what was above, hopefully, it finishes Ok,I’ll let u know! Thanks again

Having major problems importing (from both Rekordbox and Music). Library populating and playing through app on Mac but not uploading to connected Dropbox. When importing from either Rekordbox or Music am not getting to "Upload Tracks' stage and manually selecting tracks in the library and trying to 'upload tracks' individually or all is doing nothing. Have spent hours trying everything I can think of and I can find that has been suggested on threads including here: https://support.mixo.dj/t/2140-upload-to-cloud-does-not-work I have 8000 tracks on an external drive that I'm trying to import. Ideally I would import using Rekordbox to retain cue points etc. but not 100% tied to that. Help would be appreciated :)

Sorry to hear that.


Have you tried disconnecting your Google Drive account, then logout of MIXO and login again then reconnect your Google Drive account?


Failing that you could login to your Google Drive account online and remove MIXO from your connected apps.


Then repeat the process of connecting during which you will re-authorise MIXO.


You can select a few tracks, right-click and Upload Tracks. If it hangs on the upload stage for a long time without any progress, quit the app and reopen.


Surely something here will work!

Thanks Remko.

Tried this and all the debug routes with Dropbox but to no avail. Individual tracks go into queue but they just sit there and UL doesn't start.

Will just try again with Rekordbox. Not sure what else to do?

Sorry I meant Dropbox. Must have read the wrong part of the thread.


It sounds to me like an auth issue with Dropbox but I can't understand why it's happening.


Have you tried deleting the MIXO-sync folder in Dropbox (containing the Waveform, Artwork and Tracks folders) and removing the app auth (if that's possible) then reconnecting in MIXO?


Usually restarting MIXO fixes it though.


As a last resort, I would uninstall MIXO, delete the whole MIXO AppData/Application Support folder and install the latest from the website.


If it still fails after this I can only assume it's some sort of setting in Dropbox that's prohibiting the upload. Or your anti-virus software!

Hi Remko. Sorry been busy and haven't been able to put any more time to this. I've tried all the above included complete uninstall/reinstall over the last couple of days and still no music is uploading - only album artwork. When doing an import, It just hangs on UL tracks or says they are uploaded - this is the case trying both rekordbox and Apple Music. When manually adding to the queue they don't UL either. I'm frustrated with the amount of time this has taken up but also subscribed to MIXO and an annual a 2TB Dropbox account which are both currently unused. Very keen to use the app but right now am losing hope and patience I'm afraid.

Hi James,

I'm pleased to announce that MIXO v1.14 is now live!

This release includes some improvements for hanging on progress stages. I've also included some more info in the logs, so if you still get failed tracks please send me a fresh log so I can investigate.
