Multiple folders created on Drive - empty

After a very long upload process, i looked at my google drive to see if everything was uploaded and it seems there are multiple folders created with the same name from my music folders. It looks like all but one with the same name is empty but is there an easy way to to have the software clean up the empty created folders or do I have to scroll through and manually delete them all?

I've noticed that it seems each time I had to restart the upload a new folder with the same name was created

Is there a quick way to clean this up?

Hey!

That's unusual behaviour!

Once you've got the APPS folder in your GDrive or Dropbox MIXO should find the folder structure and add tracks in there correctly.

It may be worth resetting your MIXO account and trying a fresh upload to see if this fixes the issue.

See how to do this here:

https://support.mixo.dj/guide/reset-mixo-account

If you continue to see multiple folders which are not on your main music drive then let us know and we can look in to this further.

Until now, we've not heard of this happening and can't replicate it ourselves.

So I deleted everything from my mixo folder and did another upload of all my tracks. Once again, there are some albums split into multiple folders of the same name and occasionally a third (or fourth) that is empty. I noticed also that the folder tree wasnt properly converted either

For example: if I haveaan artist folder with a separate folder for each album within that it seems that the artist folder wasn't uploaded to my GDrive, just all the album folders listed in a row. I will have to log in to my GDrive and do a lot of sorting manually.

Hey!

Thank you so much for coming back to us.

Google creates a folder based on the parent folder for each track. It does not create nested folders for folders.

For example, if you upload a track with the path ../House classics/90's/track.mp3, on gDrive you will see MIXO/Music/90's/track.mp3.

This, however, does not explain empty folders. Empty folders are usually left behind after deleting tracks from MIXO, but get re-used when tracks with the same parent folder get uploaded.

I hope this helps explain how the folders work with MIXO and your cloud, does this make sense and show you why your upload is working in such a way?

Did you delete any individual tracks from MIXO which may have caused the empty folders?
