Import playlist problem with hot cues

Solved

Hello,

I've imported a playlist with mixo from virtual dj to rekordbox.

The songs are there, but there is a problem with hot cues.

All the cue 1 of the songs in VDJ, becomes cue B in Rekordbox. The cue A is empty.

Could all the cue 1 becomes cue A in rekordbox with imported playlist ?

Thanks,

Hey Chronos!

Sorry to hear that, did you import via VirtualDJ xml? I'm assuming so if your cues imported into MIXO.

Also, which version of Rekordbox: 5 or 6?

Could you send me your VDJ xml file that you imported? And could you also make sure that you are on the latest version of MIXO, Virtual DJ and Rekordbox.

Thanks,

Jon

Hello,

I've imported one playlist in Mixo from virtual dj playlist (m3u).

Then i exported it from Mixo in my laptop folder also in m3u.

Then i imported it in rekordbox with the import playlist menu at the top (file>import>import playlist).

I'm in 5.8.6 in rekordbox. I'm going to uptade in 6.5.3 and try again.

Mixo : 0.38

VDJ : 6677 last version

Thank you,

Hey,

Hmm, m3u files do not contain any cuepoint data, they only have the paths to the files. If MIXO imported any cuepoint data from these tracks, that means they are a part of the track metadata.

I would suggest importing the VDJ xml file instead as this will contain all of the exact cue data for each track as seen in VDJ. MIXO will represent it exactly the same way.

Here's a guide on how to do that.

Let me know if you have any other issues regarding this.

Thanks,

Jon

The reason i didn't do it with xml file is that in a previous attempt mixo didn't imported virtual dj playlist but only tracks with database.xml (see file)

That's true! But only because Virtual DJ doesn't include playlists in it's xml - all you'd need to do is import the xml first and then the playlists.

You won't get any duplicates, MIXO will know those tracks are already imported and simply put them in the correct playlists.

Jon

In that case, please send me the following to help us debug the issue:

- 1 of the tracks affected by this

- Your VirtualDJ database.xml file.

That way we can remove all of the unnecessery code and just focus on what is happening with that track in your file.

Thanks,

Jon

Ok here it is.

I have only exported one playlist in mixo to test (dancehall).
