Engine Prime 1.5.2 XML

I am trying to move between DJ software - retaining the cue points is the sole reason I don't just drag gigs of WAV files across and hit 'Analyse'.

https://support.mixo.dj/guide/engine-prime-to-mixo suggests using the CSV import, which obviously doesn't retain cue points.

In MIXO 0.19, the Import -> Engine Prime suggests that it's possible to read an XML file which Engine Prime can generate. How do I create this XML file?

Cheers,

Gavin.

Hi Gavin,

Thanks for taking the time to use the app!

Currently you won't be able to import your cue points from engine prime due to it only exporting CSVs. The guide you mention also states this more generally about iTunes XML, M3U and CSV files.

However, we are working on ways to retrieve that data from Engine Prime.

I've subscribed you to this idea so you'll be notified when there's an update

Thanks,

Jon

Ah that's great, thanks.

In that case, it looks like the suggestion inside the 'Import' section of the app to import an XML file is simply a bug, and should say 'CSV' instead?

Cheers,

Gavin.

It is indeed and will be fixed in the next version, sorry for the confusion there!

In fact, the entire import/export section has been greatly improved for v0.20, we're excited for everyone to start using it - we're hopeful it'll be out very soon!

Thanks,

Jon

The issue with Engine Prime imports being labelled as XML has now been fixed to be CSV in our latest v0.20 release:

Please update your MIXO to the latest version in App or via our beta download page.
