Hey! Very excited about this project!
I browsed the roadmap, but couldnt find anything about duplicate tracks.
Djs with collection of tens of thousands of tracks could really use a working duplicate finder. It could check dupes from waveform or something, not from filename like many other similar apps does.

What https://www.similarityapp.com/ does, would be great - not just using the meta tags to compare but the audio information.

At the moment we check only the file path.
What if we instead checked size, duration, artist and title? Would that be sufficient in preventing duplicates without the risk of false positives?

just comparing the tags would only work if the user is sure that the tags are 100% correct - the app i mentioned does this and also checks for audio content. but i think an complete audio comparison is out of scope for this project

I'm pleased to announce that MIXO v1.12 has just gone live with a new Duplicate Checker feature!
This is a simple duplicate checker that compares the duration and track titles. For performance, it doesn't compare audio signatures at this stage, which can be time-consuming and heavy on CPU, but it's fast and works well in most cases.
