Rekordbox Direct Export

I'm trying to export my 47 track playlist from MIXO to Rekordbox via the Rekordbox Direct export option.

Its been running for over an hour and still says "Exporting Rekordbox Direct".

I do have the "Copy hot cues to memory cues" option turned ON, as I have all my cue points set in Traktor, uploaded to MIXO, and now need to export to Rekordbox.

How long does this export normally take?

It normally takes seconds ha! There's clearly a problem.

Can you export your playlist to Rekordbox XML and send it to me?

Well that worked for me, so try this:

1. Quit MIXO and re-open, then try again.
2. Alternatively, import that XML you just sent me, then try export again. This should clean any bad data.
3. If it still doesn't work, it's probably a file permissions issue. You'll have to give MIXO permission to access the Rekordbox DB.

I tried and it's still taking a long time to export via Rekordbox Direct.

How do I allow permissions?

I'm not sure exactly, but you could try right-clicking the master.db, which you can find by clicking the folder icon on the export page, and allow MIXO read and write access. Maybe that's all you need? Alternatively in system settings.

tried all of that and it's still not exporting quickly.

All I need to do it get my Traktor cue points to Rekordbox without me having to manually put each of them in.

Is there a better way to do this?

Hi Im using a Mac book my Rekordbox direct has been exporting for hours should I close and retry ???

Yeah shouldn’t take longer than a few minutes. Quit MIXO and try again or use XML.

ok the xml worked as text but the music is not in rekordbox how do I upload the music

Where is your music stored?


If you’re on another computer it needs to be downloaded first. You would have got a warning when you exported about this.

From the first laptop I installed and uploaded my library to the cloud on mixo , once that was complete I installed mixo on the new laptop and imported my music and playlist from the mixo cloud , on the new laptop the music shows on mixo library when I try to Rekord box direct import it just buffers still exporting there is no music on the hard drive of new laptop

Only MIXO can stream your music because it has authentication with your cloud storage. That’s why when you exported it should have warned you that xx number of tracks were not downloaded.


You can download all your tracks via Settings/Cloud or via toggle switches when you right-click on individual playlists.


Once your music is local other apps can play your tracks.

how do I down load all tracks from the cloud to my laptop settings / cloud on mixo or my laptop

It’s the checkbox that says Download All Music. Once it’s in it should start downloading.

Only downloaded tracks will have the correct (local) filePaths when you export so you’ll need to wait.

Strange! Does it just hang on export, or is there an error? If error, please send me the logs.

Otherwise, please try to export a few playlists at a time and see where it gets stuck. Maybe that will shed some light and certainly help me try to fix anything that might need fixing!

Ok try a single playlist and work up from there. Or try xml.

Good morning, Here’s an update on my Rekordbox direct issue , I can see the mp3 music on my new laptops files on the hard drive they play etc , the Rekordbox direct still keeps attempting to transfer software even with trying one playlist at a time still same issue , Now XML did export and I did import xml to main library the playlist all show but not the songs in XML when I try to add them separately from a copy paste in the lower main xml browser to import by drag they say there already in Rekordbox . CN tou help me to get the songs to appear in xml playlist import on main library , so ai can relocate them on my external hard drive where I made a master folder of all music , thank you I look forward to hearing back from you see photo attached

So what exactly is the problem?


Are you saying Rekordbox Direct Export from MIXO is not working, even for just 1 playlist?


What do you see when you click export?


And are you also saying that the XML also isn’t working?


What do you see when you click export XML?


If you can provide a video of the issue you’re having that might help because I’m not sure what you’re trying to do at this stage.
