Watch Folder

Instead of just dragging and dropping the songs into Mixo, how about choosing a folder as a watch folder so when you add new songs, it will upload automatically

I have noticed since setting up watch folder everytime I update or re login to mixo it tries to re-add everything in the watch folder all over again and considering I have a very large library this is problematic as takes while to go through select it all to delete the new imports

Hi there,

MIXO will automatically import anything in your watch folder that does not exist in your library.

By default it watches the Downloads folder. If you no longer wish for MIXO to automatically import certain tracks you should remove them from your downloads folder (or watch folder location).

If you've changed the watch folder location, you should consider a different strategy for organising your local files to prevent auto-importing tracks you no longer want, or just change the watch folder location.

I hope this helps!

Apologies maybe I didn’t explain the issue correctly so I have watch folder as my music library folder it hasn’t changed at all I updated mixo to latest version and it logged me out I logged back in and it imported all 13,000 songs again so I had double I don’t know if once it had analysed it would have sorted self out but as can imagine analysing 13,000 songs is not quick my understanding was as these songs aren’t new or been changed it shouldn’t have tried to re add them

Just an update on this - we've identified and fixed an issue that led to 0 tracks in All Tracks on login. This issue would have caused the problem you've described.

The fix will be in the next release!

In the meantime, if this happens the solution is to reload after login (Cmd/Ctrl + R). Ideally immediately after the loading screen hides to prevent the watch folder from importing tracks, which is delayed by ~7s.

Hmm I see. That's strange since there is a delay of several seconds before the watch folder begins watching, giving your track list plenty of time to load.

How many tracks do you have in All Tracks (before the duplicates).

It's possible this is a freak occurrence but I will investigate regardless.

You can go ahead and cancel the analysis and if you're connected, cancel the upload too (both options are on the Import/Progress page). Then reload and check if it returns to normal.

If not, you can use the duplicate finder to sort everything out.

I'm pleased to announce that MIXO v1.60 is now live with a heap of new features, fixes and improvements!

We've also migrated all our users to a new super fast cloud database, so you'll need to update to MIXO v1.60 and reset your password to continue:
