Traktor to Rekordbox - many tracks missing

Hi guys, hope you're good.

when i export from Traktor to Rekordbox it is only exporting some of the files. I noticed that it didn't like files with very long filenames.. which is a pain, but fixable... but there are also a lot of other files that are just not going across. I have a gig next week and i have to use CDJs and I use my loop points a lot so i really need this to work. On the last attempt it only imported 13 of 43 tracks.

I have attached the import log. it says 'if the file path is longer that 255 characters', which it may be in some cases, but i can't change the file path without moving my whole Traktor library which could get very messy.

please help

thanks

Toby

Yes that’s a Rekordbox limitation.

I should be the same issue if you import directly.

so there's no way to fix it ?! I have to move my entire collection to a location with a shorter file path ?

this didn't happen in the past. is it a new issue ?

It’s entirely possible Rekordbox have changed something since it’s not a problem on MIXO’s side.

Did you try Rekordbox Direct export?

If the tracks with the long filePaths didn’t transfer with Rekordbox direct export it’s possible that MIXO is taking into consideration Rekordbox’s limitation and skipping them.

If you’re trying to find a solution to the location of your tracks being too long, unfortunately the solution is changing the location.

So what I’d recommend is moving them or renaming the folders, then use MIXO to relocate the tracks (select all, right click and Relocate Tracks).
