Disable Mixo Re-Analysing?

Hi Remko,

is it possible to deactivate the Mixo analyze, when importing from Rekordbox?

My issue:

I want to re-write the Serato beatgrids with the ones from Rekordbox. When importing my playlist from Rekordbox using "Rekordbox direct" to Mixo, Mixo is re-analysing the beatgrid by itself automatically. When I go to the preview in Mixo, I can see that the beatgrid is already different to the one in Rekordbox. So i don't even start to export it into Serato. Is there a workaround?

Using Windows 10, flac files, rekordbox 7.1.1., mixo 1.85.0.

Regards!

MIXO v1.86 is now live with fixes for beatgrid starting beat marker when importing from RB Direct and a heap of other improvements!

Thanks for the feedback :)

MIXO only imports the beatgrids available but it’s a slightly different process using the direct method.

You could also try importing via XML to see if there’s any difference.

Hi Remko,

I get the exact same result, when using the XML import. Is there something wrong in my export settings in Rekordbox?

Can you show me what you mean with a track comparison in Rekordbox and MIXO?

Hi Remko,

please see attached the pictures of the beatgrids in Rekordbox and Mixo. I've put a memory cue at the an one to show you the difference in the beatgrid. Do you need further information to investigate?

Ahh I see so MIXO is displaying the 4-beat (red) markers 1 beat early.

That might just be a display issue.

You can write the data to the tracks using Export -> Track Tags. Just create a small test playlist and backup your tracks first.

Let me know the outcome.

Hi Remko,

I exported the track from Mixo to Serato. It exported the Mixo beatgrid as you can see attached. Is it possible to stop Mixo from re-writing the Rekordbox beatgrid when importing?

It's all just numbers and calculations to convert "beatgrids" from one app to another, and they all do it differently!

It looks like there's a problem with calculating the first beat index, eg MIXO is starting it 1 beat early, I'll need to investigate this and come back to you.
