Smart Playlist from Tags

Hi there,

On the "Custom tags" page under tools it says that tags can be used for smart playlist filters.

However, when creating a smart playlist - there is no "Tag" option in the Select Rule pop up.

How do you create smart playlists from tags??

Hi there,

The Smart playlists feature had a huge overhaul in v1.40 and as such custom tags are no longer used.

This text should have been removed! I'll make sure it's removed in the next release.

Ok, that explains it then!

It would be a great feature if tags could be used for smart playlists!? Any chance that feature will come back?

So when I export my library (to Serato in my case), do I have to turn on "Save MIXO tags to Comments" in export options to have the tags transferred over? And if I don't turn this on will the tags not be transferred?

Perhaps instead of removing this text we should include an additional smart playlist filter for custom tags - great idea! I'll see what I can do.

If you want to use MIXO Custom Tags in other software, you should export them to the track comments, since most DJ apps have different tagging systems and are often not imported or exported.

Please be aware that any exiting comments will be overwritten.
