Issue Importing Rekordbox 6 to MIXO

Hello!

I just downloaded MIXO on my Macbook Pro and am trying to transfer a playlist and hot cues to another laptop with Traktor. I am able to import the playlist, as well as my entire RB collection to MIXO, but no hot cues will transfer with the tracks. I attempted to Export the playlist that I need to the Traktor setup to see if the hot cues would show up anyway, and that did not work either. The playlist itself exports to Traktor, but it is completely empty. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey Eric,

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you're having this issue.

I will try and replicate, but could you provide the following, which may help in solving the issue.

1. Are MIXO, Rekorbox 6 and Traktor Pro 3 all on the latest software versions? - for MIXO it's 0.40

2. Are all of your tracks located on one hard drive or across multiple? If multiple, are they constantly plugged in? Sometimes the drive name can change and this is important to the path for every track.

3. With the Traktor export, were you doing just a PLAYLIST export (.m3u) or a TRAKTOR (.nml) export? Please note, because of their format, .m3u files contain only path data, no other track metadata is included.

Thanks,

Jon

Hi Jon,

I looked into your questions and have provided answers below:

1. Are MIXO, Rekorbox 6 and Traktor Pro 3 all on the latest software versions? - for MIXO it's 0.40

I just verified that MIXO, RB6, and Traktor are all up to date

2. Are all of your tracks located on one hard drive or across multiple? If multiple, are they constantly plugged in? Sometimes the drive name can change and this is important to the path for every track.

All of my tracks are stored in one location, on my MacBook Pro

3. With the Traktor export, were you doing just a PLAYLIST export (.m3u) or a TRAKTOR (.nml) export? Please note, because of their format, .m3u files contain only path data, no other track metadata is included.

To answer this, I have tried a couple of different things: First, on RB6 I imported my m3u8 playlist to MIXO. I realized then that the tracks were imported but info I had added to them was not in MIXO (Track ratings, hot cues). After that I tried importing my RB6 collection xml, which I now realize won't have hot cues.

On the Traktor side, when exporting, I selected playlist and exported the m3u8 file, and I saw that only the playlist name was exported, but it was completely empty of any tracks.

I have verified that after importing the m3u8 to MIXO, my connected Google drive shows all of the tracks. But for some reason, hot cues and ratings won't import to MIXO and only the playlist name(w/o tracks) will export to traktor.

Thank you for your help!

Hey There,

Well my Gold trial ended and I have not heard anything back regarding next steps for troubleshooting..so I will not be subscribing to MIXO. I don't see a point right now due to the fact that the product has not been able to work for me.
