Hi,

We are currently working on improvements to all phases of the import process including upload.

What is your upload speed like?

https://www.speedtest.net/

Did the rest of the import process work? Can you see your tracks within All Tracks?

Thanks,

Jon

Jon,

Ping 15ms - 83.04 Up - 14.29 Down

It shows the tracks in the (all tracks) 8428 weird as i'm importing 8427.

However sub folders/playlists aren't right, eg 1 folder on my harddrive contains 100 tracks yet only shows (39) is that due to uploading?

The programme also freezes from time to time whilst the analysing indicator still spins. i then have to close and re-open the program

Just want to double check, are those numbers reversed? Typically, download would be larger than upload.

Unfortunately, upload speed will determine the overall time it takes to sync with your cloud, add on to that a larger library and it will take a while. As I said though, we're seeing what we can do to minimize this as much as possible our end. Our improvements to the import process will help the intermittent freezing issue too.

In terms of your folders, did you import just by dragging the tracks or your entire music folder? Or did you use an iTunes XML or similar to import?

A screenshot of the MIXO structure you have would be helpful too.

Thanks!

Jon,

Yes my mistake RE: speeds.

I dropped an XML straight from Rekordbox and imported that way.

Sorry to hear that :-(

When you restarted did you need to re-import the tracks into MIXO?

Or were the tracks in MIXO but they needed to upload again?

No, I just restarted expecting it to carry on from where it was.

It's taken a day and a half just to hget to 620 files.

I switched it off for now as i have lost patience with it.

Apologies Ed. It would be great to find out more next time you're able to have another go...

Can you send a new screenshot of where it's got to possibly?

How big are your files? Like 10mb MP3 or more like 60mb WAV?

The analysing part we're working on in the next version. It should be a lot faster and more stable.

Uploading depends on your internet speed but if you have 14.29 mbps upload that's pretty fast and shouldn't take a day and a half to upload 620 files.

95% are 320k MP3, so around 10mb per file 8437 tracks over multiple folders.

That's helpful, thanks.

So you've only got 8437 tracks but after restart it's saying there are 21323 to sync.

Sync happens before uploading and should be fast as it's saving the track data, not the files.

I'll check with the team to see if I can find out more...

The team have said that MIXO v.20 which should be released in the next couple of weeks will have much faster iimport, analysis and upload. They have asked if you could go to 'MIXO > Settings > Debug> Reset MIXO' and then start over with v.20 and let us know if that works for you.

Thanks again for your patience! 🔊🔊

Dave.

"So you've only got 8437 tracks but after restart it's saying there are 21323 to sync." THIS IS CORRECT.

I'll hang on till the update, and i'll try again and report back.

Hi Prism,

Sorry for the long wait on the update!

We released v0.20 on 24th December and then had another quick release to v0.21 soon after.

If you could try again after resetting as Dave has mentioned previously and letting us know how you get on that would be great!

Here's the versions list for v0.20 and v0.21

https://www.mixo.dj/versions

You can see there's been some major updates to performance which is one of the reasons it took a while to get it out to everyone.

Look forward to hearing from you!
