Transfering computers

I want to use Mixo to help me transfer my rekordbox library from one computer to another. I intend to download the library onto my laptop through mixo, and also export my library into rekordbox also on the mixo app.

Last time I transferred music I had 1,000s of songs that couldn't be located by rekordbox even though they were on my local disk. I fear this will happen again.

Should this method through mixo prevent this? Any tips on making sure my music is locatable?

Hi there!

Here are some useful tips:

1. Connect your cloud storage first, then import and let MIXO upload all your tracks.

2. When complete, go to Tools/Actions and check they are all uploaded. There’s a button to retry the upload for any that failed.

3. Green dots indicate the track is uploaded. There are also Uploaded and Missing columns which you can add to the track list to sort your tracks and see which have not uploaded or which are missing.

4. On your second computer you can turn on Settings/Cloud - Download All Music.

There are also some useful tools to check downloads in Settings/Downloads.

Pink dots mean the track is downloaded.

If any tracks are not downloaded you get a warning when you export. Use the Downloads page to try to fix those. You can also right-click the individual tracks (without pink dots) to download them.

Yes they will all be exported from the MIXO db to Rekordbox.

Is your primary goal to change computers or will you be keeping both computers synced?
