Mixo not importing all que points from Serato, into Rekordbox and then onto USB

Hi,

I've subscribed to use Mixo Gold and I've imported a playlist from Serato into Mixo and then exported to Rekordbox and then onto USB. Mixo isn't bringing across all cue points from Serato and into Rekordbox. I've checked in Serato and all tracks have the right cue points. Any ideas how I can sort, so as all cue points are loaded into Rekordbox and then in turn onto USB.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks.

Simon

Hi Simon,

Are the cue points in MIXO?

You can select tracks, right-click and choose Re-Analyse Tracks then select Cue Points if you want to double check.

Other things to try are adjusting the Import settings in Settings/Advanced. There are some rare-case settings there you can try before reanalysing again.

Once the cues are in MIXO you can export them to Rekordbox via Direct or XML.

Let me know how you get on!

Hi,

Thanks a lot for coming back to me.

I’ll have a look in Mixo. Daft question, how do I see the cue points on the tracks in Mixo?

I’m sure it’s obvious but can’t see how you do it.

Thanks for your help to date.

2 ways; right-click and view Track Info or play the track and they display in the player.

Track Info is best as you can see all imported cues (if there are more than 8, for example).

Ok. I've checked a few tracks and the cue points are showing in Mixo, but when I look in Rekordbox, they're not showing in there - see screenshots attached, showing cue point in Mixo BUT nothing in Rekordbox.

I've reanalysed in Rekordbox and still no cue points.

Any ideas please?

I have no ideas. It should work seamlessly.

Can you try the XML route to see if it works?

Also, did you try exporting a second time via direct?

And double check there’s not a duplicate of the same track with no cue points!

I’ve tried the direct route as did XML first. I’m now reanalysing in Rekordbox and waiting to see what happens.

It’ll take a few hours, so I’ll probably check tomorrow night when back from work and let you know.

Thanks a lot for your help so far - much appreciated.

Simon

PS - Hopefully Direct will work 🤞

Analysis won’t import the cues in Rekordbox but it is required for waveforms.

Let me know if you still have some problems and I’ll investigate. Could be some very specific bug you’ve found, which sadly excites me.

Hi Remko,

Sorted it. Exporting using Direct has solved the problem. I’ve now got all cue points. 😁

Thanks a lot for your help - much appreciated.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Morning Simon,

How incredibly thoughtful of you to check-in this morning, I really appreciate that.

We're always on the look-out for users with positive and constructive feedback who can help MIXO grow and improve, whilst they benefit from pre-release fixes and features before anyone else.

As such, I'd like to invite you to test our very exciting upcoming MIXO V2 version... It's currently in beta-testing with a very small number of users and I'd love for you to join them!

Here's the link:
https://www.mixo.dj/download/beta-v2/MIXO-2.0.0-beta-12.exe

Along with a brand new design and our new branding, MIXO v2 includes:

- Direct export to Rekordbox Device Library (inc Plus) USB format for Pioneer/AlphaTheta hardware.
- Direct export to Engine DJ Denon hardware USB.
- Export VDJ to USB
- Analyse Key option in Re-Analyse Tracks modal

- Spotify Track Matcher Tool

Let me know your feedback!

Morning Remko,

Thank you for your email and offer to beta test MIXO V2. To be honest, I don't use MIXO all that often, I use Serato and prefer it to Rekordbox, but playing out when digital and not on vinyl, I need to get tracks with cue points from Serato into MIXO and then from MIXO into Rekordbox and onto a USB and that's really all I use it for.

Getting tracks from Serato into MIXO is very easy to do, it's the MIXO to Rekordbox that was proving "problematic" at the weekend and as you know. The XML method didn't work, but the direct did, whereas when I've tried direct in the past it's not worked and XML did - bizarre.

I'm pretty busy with work at the moment, so happy to download and try the BETA version but not sure how much feedback I'll be able to give you quickly enough. I work at a software company, so I know what testing is like and the requirement for feedback asap. If you're okay with me drip feeding you - so to speak - happy to give it a go.

Hope this helps and wait to hear from you.

Enjoy your day.

Absolutely no obligation, you just seemed like you might benefit from the V2 features (eg cutting out Rekordbox) and as such I thought over time you might have some ideas for improvement.

Keep in touch, at your own pace :)
