The solution should be simple -> go to Import Serato page in MIXO, click "CHANGE FILE" and choose the Subcrates folder on your new hard drive (in the _Serato_ folder).

only because it still isn't working. the files aren't being analyzed because it comes up in a failed log sheet

What do the failed logs say?

Please can you show me a screenshot of the Import Serato page in MIXO, one of your crate files and the failed txt. Thanks!

respectfully asking, is it possible that we can do a zoom or video call to help with this please? I'm really in dire need of this working for me. I'm new to all of this. basically I have a laptop from 2012 and I just bought a new laptop. I just bought a hard drive and uploaded all my files from my old laptop onto the hard drive. I now have my hard drive plugged into my new Mac where I uploaded those files files onto Mixo but they come out blanked out. am I supposed to have the music on my actual laptop instead of the hard drive? I'm sure its ways to not have that because it will slow down my laptop. I'm extremely thankful for your time in trying to help

I’m a bit confused. Your screenshots show both Virtual Dj and Serato.

If you’re importing from Serato you must select the “Subcrates_” folder side the “_Serato_” folder on the same drive as your tracks.

Do your tracks work in Serato?

Another solution is to cancel analysis from the progress page, then select all your tracks using the top check box in All Tracks, right-click and select “Relocate Tracks” then select the outermost folder containing your tracks on your hard drive.

MIXO will then go through fix the track paths.

After that you can right-click and select Re-Analyse tracks.

Ok so you're actually importing from Virtual DJ into MIXO?

MIXO imports the tracks from your database.xml files in the various locations it finds. If the tracks can't be found it's because they're wrong in the database.xml.

To help you understand this situation, please right-click the track list headers and add the "FilePath" column. If you look at the tracks that are failing to analyse (probably greyed-out) you will see where they are located. My guess is you've moved them from their original location to your new hard drive without relocating them in VDJ first, so the database.xml contains the old location.

So just use the relocate function to fix them in MIXO, as described previously.

Crazy enough, I ended up figuring it out myself, but is there anyway that I don’t have to do these missing files one by one because I have thousands of tracks?

Yes, using the method I’ve already suggested.

1. Select all your tracks using the top check box in All Tracks.

2. Right-click and select “Relocate Tracks”.

3. Select the folder containing your tracks on your hard drive.

Even if there are subfolders it’s fine.

It’s about 14K songs that didn’t get through 😭

For some reason it still isn’t relocating them even though they are definitely in the folder. Idk I’m not gonna keep bugging you. Thank you for the assistance I appreciate you have a good day

Well I don’t know the exact situation since there’s a fair amount of confusion going on but one thing you should check is that MIXO has full access to your hard drive, just to rule out any permissions issues.
