Most tracks in library are doubled up and duplicate remover doesn't find them

Most of the songs in my library are doubled when looking under "All Tracks", they both point to the same file. Is there a way to remove these duplicates?

Hi there,

That's very unusual. How did you import your tracks? Did you import more than once? Just trying to figure out if we need to research a potential new bug here.

Otherwise, if it's not too inconvenient, you could delete everything and try again. That all depends on he size of your library.

The easiest way to start from fresh is Settings/Debug -> Reset MIXO.

The tracks and playlists were imported from Engine DJ. I had a lot of issues trying to get it to import, and it would just hang with no indication on what it was doing. Eventually I loaded it up in Administrator Mode, which allowed it to import.

I just reset mixo using the method above and reloaded the tracks directly in, of which there was only one of each track reimported whihc is great!! However when I tried to import the playlists I had exported previously, it started doubling the tracks in the library. Is there a way to import the playlists back in, but not the tracks so it would just reference the tracks already imported? I would rather not have to recreate them from scratch.

Also, just noticed the scroll bar in the library has disappeared.

There should be a horizontal scroll bar and mouse/touch pad scroll also works.

As for the tracks, if you’re importing from USB it won’t work correctly. You should be importing from the desktop m.db database. Perhaps that’s the issue?

Sounds like there was also a permissions issue. Normally when MIXO tries to access a restricted folder a permission pop up appears. It’s easy to accidentally cancel this and that will also cause issues.

You can always grant MIXO full disk access manually which might resolve any issues.

There used to be, but you have to scroll all the way to the right to be able to see the scrollbar.

Will have a look but it looks like I will have to recreate the playlists from scratch which is a bit annoying.

You can right-click the track list headers and click Reset to resize them all and only show the default columns. Then the scroll bar will be in view again. Or just manually resize the columns you want to.

So going back to the tracks issue - did you import from Engine Dj on a USB (synced from the desktop app) or directly from the desktop database?
